Hi! I’m Jennifer. I’m a mixed media artist and author living in Los Angeles. My art focuses on exploring play through printmaking and collage. I’ve exhibited my art in various galleries and literary magazines and art fairs.

My debut short fiction collection, Unruly Creatures (October 2017), was published by West Virginia University Press. I am the author of two young adult novels, most recently, Strays (2015). My short stories have appeared in Monday Night Literary, Wilde Magazine, Storm Cellar, Booth and other literary journals. In 2016, I served as the writer-in-residence at the Annenberg Community Beach House in Santa Monica.

I run the online book community Books Are My People as well as a bi-weekly podcast for book lovers, Books Are My People.

I currently teaches printmaking both privately and at the Brentwood Art Center in Santa Monica. I hold a BA In English from the University of California at Santa Cruz, a MA from California State University Los Angeles and a MFA through the University of British Columbia.
